Nova Scotia Amateur Driving Championship Series
All three Nova Scotian Harness Racing Tracks have always hosted Amateur Races through out the year at their own respective tracks. In 2021 a committee was developed with representation from each track and the Nova Scotia Amateur Driving Challenge was born.
Amateur races are for individuals who are not a licensed driver, but a member of Standardbred Canada as a licensed groom or trainer. Amateur races are often the starting point for many of the licensed drivers throughout the province as it is often their first competitive event.
The NS Amateur Series has each track hold an amateur driving event and the top two individuals from each move onto the Nova Scotia Amateur Driving Championship. The Championship event rotates each year to each of the Nova Scotia tracks.
