The Phil Pinkney Memorial for 3 year old pacing colts stakes action, took place at Truro Raceway Sunday June 11, 2023 with Saulsbrook Ian winning the lone division racing for a purse of $13,980.
The Betterthancheddar-Atlanta Girl gelding was breed by Saulsbrook Stables of Windsor, Nova Scotia.
It was a career-best victory for Saulsbrook Ian (Corey MacPherson) pacing in 1:53.2 for trainer Jamie Smith and Red Oak Stables of Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Malignity (Paul Langille) finished second with Fishermans Son (Walter Walker) rounding out the top three.
The next Phil Pinkney Memorial Stake will take place September 13, 2023 at Inverness Raceway for the 3 year old pacing fillies
